Stephen W. Perkins, MD of Meridian Plastic Surgeons, was a key faculty speaker at the recent 7th Biennial Caribbean Facial Plastic Surgery Update in Grand Cayman. The international meeting was conducted by Facial Plastic Surgery International, an educational foundation of which Dr. Perkins is founder and president.
He presented lectures on the topics of Deep Plane Face Lifting, Volumization of the Mid Face with Facial Implants, and Proper Sequencing in Primary Rhinoplasty.
Dr. Stephen W. Perkins was an invited faculty member at the recent Global Esthetics Conference in Miami. He presented multiple lectures on the topics of rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty and skin resurfacing. Dr. Perkins was also invited faculty at the Rino Cordoba Facial Plastic Surgery Symposium in Cordoba, Argentina. He presented four lectures on the topics of nasal grafts and rhinoplasty procedures.
Stephen W. Perkins, MD of Meridian Plastic Surgeons, was invited faculty at the recent European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery Annual Conference in Regensburg, Germany. He taught a course on Eyelid Rejuvenation, presented a video-based lecture on Managing the Brow and Forehead, and presented two talks on the topic of Advances In Lower Eyelid Surgery and Facelift Through the Decades.
Dr. Stephen Perkins was a Key Featured U.S. Faculty Member at the recent AAFPRS “Advances in Rhinoplasty” Meeting in Chicago. Nearly 600 facial plastic and plastic surgeons from around the world attended. Dr. Perkins presented multiple talks and videos and served as a moderator on the topics of Rhinoplasty and Revision Rhinoplasty. Dr. Stephen Perkins was Key Invited Speaker at The 2016 Pan Asia Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery’s 11-Day Cadaveric Dissection Courses at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore. He presented over 20 talks, surgical demonstrations, video presentations and panels on the topics of Rhinoplasty, Brow Lift, Facelift, Neck Rejuvenation and Blepharoplasty.
Dr. Stephen Perkins was recently a Key Invited U.S. Guest Faculty at the Mexican Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery Society’s Symposium in Mexico City. He presented the keynote speech on his perspective of “33 Years of Performing Rhinoplasty: Long-Lasting Results”. Dr. Perkins presented 9 talks on the topics of Endoscopic Forehead Lifting, Rhinoplasty, Neck and Facelifting and Blepharoplasty. He also presented 3 videos on the topic of Rhinoplasty and participated in round table cases on Blepharoplasty, Brow Lift and Rhinoplasty. Dr. Perkins gave the Keynote address on the topic of Photo Damaged and Aged Skin of the Face and Neck. He also conducted an instructional course about Facelifting, conducted a Rhinoplasty video presentation and moderated a panel talk on the topic of Fat Transfer.

Stephen W. Perkins, MD, was invited Faculty at the recent “Rhinoplasty 2015: Advances In Rhinoplasty” symposium in Uberlandia, Brazil. He lectured on various topics related to Rhinoplasty including, Endonasal Approach to Rhinoplasty, Controlling Nasal Tip Projection, the Importance of the Supratip, the Use of Cartilage Sparing Techniques and Secondary Rhinoplasty. Dr. Perkins also participated in a Rhinoplasty case discussion and performed a “live” primary Rhinoplasty surgery.
Stephen W. Perkins, MD, recently participated in the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons’ Advances In Rhinoplasty 2015 Course in Chicago. He was the featured speaker on the following topics: “The Severely Twisted Nose: Breaking it Down and Putting it Together” and “The Special Challenges of Endonasal Rhinoplasty”.
Dr. Perkins was the Moderator for a panel of international experts discussing varying techniques in modifying tip shape and position during rhinoplasty. He was a panel member for two panels that discussed these topics: “Bony-Cartilaginous Anatomy of the Nasal Pyramid”; “Analysis: Avoiding Pitfalls by Identifying Variant Anatomy” and “Battle of the Masters: Controversies in Rhinoplasty”. He also conducted three video presentations.
Dr. Stephen Perkins was featured guest international faculty at the recent International Rhinoplasty Course in Cali, Columbia. He participated on two panels and presented lectures on: “Why I Rarely Use Costal Cartilage in Primary and Revision Rhinoplasty”; “The Use of Cartilage Sparing Techniques in Primary Rhinoplasty For Aesthetic and Functional Management of the Nasal Valves”; “Rotating the Nasal Lobule Without the Use of Tongue-In-Groove Maneuvers For Achieving a Natural Feeling Lobule”; “True ‘Sculpting of the Nasal Tip’: The Use of Sutures, Multiple Grafts and Camouflage For Maximum Short-Term and Long-Term Results”; “Alar Base Narrowing: A Simplified Technique For Consistent Aesthetic Results”; “Retrospective Review of the Past 15 years of My Personal Approach and Techniques in Rhinoplasty: A statistical analysis of results, problems, revision rates and comparisons between endonasal approach and external approach in my practice.”
Dr. Perkins was invited faculty at the 2014 European Rhinoplasty Summit in Munich, Germany. He made presentations on: “Why the Supratip Is So Important In Finesse Rhinoplasty”; “Why I Rarely Use The ‘Tongue in Groove’ Technique”; and “Spreader Flaps Versus Spreader Grafts”. He was one of four faculty members and the only U.S. surgeon to perform a live telecast rhinoplasty surgery. Dr. Perkins followed this Summit with a trip to Amsterdam, where he performed facial plastic surgery for two days in conjunction with colleague, Leiden University Medical Center’s Chief Facial Plastic Surgeon, Capi Wever, MD.
Dr. Stephen Perkins was a faculty member at the February 2014 AAFPRS Rejuvenation of the Aging Face meeting in San Diego. He presented on “Endoscopic Forehead Lifting” and “How to Achieve a Consistently Good Jawline”. He also participated as a panelist on the topics of brows and upper eyelids as well as facelift with other experts in the field of Facial Plastic Rejuvenation Surgery.
Dr. Stephen Perkins was a Distinguished Faculty member at the recent Biennial American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Advances In Rhinoplasty symposium in Chicago, IL. Dr. Perkins’s topics included: “The Art of Profileplasty”, “Management of the Short Nose”, “Alar-Columellar Imbalance” and “Practice Management”.
He was also one of six featured speakers on “Personal Evolution” and spoke on “The Importance of Structural Integrity in Rhinoplasty – A 30 Year Experience”. This meeting attracted surgeons internationally from locations including Europe, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Mexico and South America.
Dr. Stephen Perkins was recently the invited featured US faculty speaker at the Regensburg Course in Facial Plastic Surgery in Regensburg, Germany. His lectures included the following: “Facelift Lessons From 30 Years”, “Endoscopic Facelift Techniques: Midface Lift”, “Facial Rejuvenation”, “Rhinoplasty: Controlling Rotation”, “Blepharoplasty: The Difficult Lower Eyelid” and “Anatomical Dissections – Facelift and Rhinoplasty”.
Dr. Perkins was an invited Guest of Honor Speaker at the Facial Plastic Conference in Izmir, Turkey. His speaking topics included rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, facelift and state-of-the-art injectibles. He performed a rhinoplasty surgery live for the facial plastic surgeons in attendance.
Dr. Perkins was a Guest of Honor Speaker at the National Portuguese Otolaryngology Congress and spoke on the topics of tip rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty.
Dr. Perkins was a Program Director and organizer as well as a faculty presenter at the Caribbean Facial Plastic Surgery Update in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His speaking topics included endoscopic forehead lifting, facelift, blepharoplasty, face and neck rejuvenation, facial resurfacing and rhinoplasty techniques.
Dr. Stephen Perkins is an invited faculty member at the upcoming 2021 multi-specialty Global Aesthetics Conference in Miami. He will be speaking on Rhinoplasty, Facelift and Browlift.
He will also moderate a panel as well as serve as a panel participant that discusses the topic of Browlift.

Dr. Stephen Perkins is an invited faculty member at the upcoming AAFPRS 12th International Symposium on Facial Plastic Surgery in Dallas, Texas. He will present talks on the topics of long-term results of endoscopic forehead lifting, surgical rejuvenation of the area around the mouth, including lip enhancement surgery, and face and neck rejuvenation. He will moderate a panel that will discuss complex primary and revision rhinoplasty, and he is speaking on a panel that will cover the topic of facelifts.
Dr. Stephen Perkins, who is a Lifetime Honorary Member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, was a key invited U.S. faculty at their recent Annual Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal. He presented lectures on the topics of Face Lifting, Neck Lifting and Endoscopic Forehead Lifting, as well as Secondary and Primary Rhinoplasty. He was also a panel moderator for an Aging Face Round Table.

This was a combined meeting of ISAPS, (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and the Multispecialty Foundation for Aesthetic Surgery. Stephen W. Perkins, MD, was a faculty member at the recent 11th Annual Las Vegas Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology Multi-Specialty Aesthetic Symposium. Dr. Perkins conducted two “Art of Rhinoplasty” sessions, a Blepharoplasty session and a joint session titled “An Eye Opening Experience: Addressing Ptosis in Combination with Cosmetic Blepharoplasty”.
Dr. Stephen Perkins was recently the featured Guest of Honor Faculty Instructor at the Munich Facial Plastic Surgery 2015 Nose, Face and Ear Symposium in Germany. He presented 8 lectures on Rhinoplasty and a 4-hour session/workshop teaching Rejuvenation Surgery For the Aging Face. As a part of his teaching, he performed an upper/lower blepharoplasty and endoscopic forehead lift “live” surgery.
He also operated in Amsterdam for 2 full days with his long-time colleague, Facial Plastic Surgeon, Capi Wever, MD.
Dr. Perkins was invited faculty at the 2014 50th anniversary, 11th AAFPRS International Symposium of Facial Plastic Surgery in New York, NY. His presentations included: Technique-Based Video Presentation: “Dorsum and Nasal Bones Hump Reduction/Osteotomies”; Problem Based Video Presentation: “Secondary Alar Retraction”; “Contouring of the Cheek-Midface and Jaw”; “Reworking the Worried Brow”; “Periorbital Rejuvenation”; and “A Structured Approach to Selecting the Appropriate Facelift Procedure”. He was sole moderator of a plenary panel on “Avoiding and Managing Complications in Blepharoplasty”; a panel member for: “ How Aggressive Should Your Facelift Be?”; and co-director of the Facelift cadaver dissection course.
Dr. Perkins was the Director at the 2014 Facial Plastic Surgery International (Dr. Perkins’ foundation) 3rd Biennial Caribbean Facial Plastic Update Meeting in Nassau, Bahamas. He delivered the Welcome Address and made presentations on the following topics: “Are Myotomies/Myectomies Really Worth Doing in Endoscopic Forehead Lift?”; “Are Surgical Facelifts a Thing Of The Past?”. He also participated on the panel: “Midface: Fill, Lift, Implant or Combo?”
Dr. Stephen Perkins was invited faculty at the 38th University of Illinois at Chicago Midwinter Symposium on Practical Surgical Challenges in Otolaryngology in Snowmass Village, CO, February 2014. He presented “My Algorithm for Managing Tip Projection: A Graduated Approach to Decreasing and Increasing Tip Projection” and also “A Graduated Approach for Managing Tip Rotation: A Designed Set of Maneuvers”.
Dr. Stephen Perkins recently was keynote speaker at the 36th Annual Conference of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery in Oslo, Norway, giving the Esteemed Joseph Lecture titled “The Origins and Evolution of Facial Plastic Surgery”. He was also invited guest lecturer speaking on “Rhinoplasty: The Difficult Tip” and was Moderator for two speaker panels.
As an invited speaker, Dr. Perkins attended the State of the Art in Facial Aesthetics 2013 meeting in Atlanta in March. He spoke to an audience of peers on “Augmentation Alternatives to the Nasal Dorsum”.
Dr. Stephen Perkins recently was an invited US Faculty Speaker at the “Cutting Edge 2012 Advanced Sculpting of the Nose” international meeting in New York City. The meeting was conducted by the International Confederation for Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. He conducted two Video Case Presentations: “ Individual Techniques for Profile Alignment and Osteotomies” and “Deprojecting and Cephalically Rotating the Nasal Tip” as well as an Interactive Video Presentation: “Improving the Nasal Airway and Valvular Function in Secondary Rhinoplasty”. He also conducted lectures on the following topics: “Point/Counterpoint: Open versus Closed Rhinoplasty – Are Results Comparable and Revisions Less?”, “How Important is Management of Turbinate Hypertrophy in Rhinoplasty?”, and “Post-Traumatic Nasal Deformity: Maximizing Outcomes and Preventing Recurrences”.
Dr. Perkins was a teaching faculty member at the 7th International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies Meeting in Rome, Italy. His instructional courses included blepharoplasty, brow lift, rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. There were nearly one thousand registrants from 75 counties around the world.
Dr. Perkins recently operated with a colleague facial plastic surgeon in Amsterdam performing an endoscopic forehead lift, facelift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty.
